There comes a time in every man's life when he must part with things
that he loves very much.
I remember the day that I stopped carrying my blankie.
Oh yes, I remember it well, last week when I decided it was time to put away the blankie I
was heart broken.
But that was nothing compared to the feelings surrounding the day that I retired my
first... wallet.
For all the men out there who can appreciate this, here is a spot dedicated to the first
wallet that I ever carried.
Some history, I received it when I was in middle school, it was a gift from my parents.
It was perfect, I carried it and it never left me, most people lose their wallet, but I am
convinced that my wallet would have found me had I ever left it behind!
You see, we had a connection, we loved each other. I looked after it and it looked after
me.
Anyway, I have finally retired it, let the records note:
Final day of service,
The Fourteenth day of the Second month of the Nineteen Hundred and Ninety
Ninth Year
(February, 14 1999)
Below you will find image links to some memorials dedicated to my first wallet.
Please take some time to pay your respects.
But I urge you to not shed a tear, it is in a happy place and it is there that it will
rest forever. :)
