Tears
of sorrow,
of pain,
of blood and sweat,
of anguish,
and sadness
and cold bitter loneliness.
Then there's you.
Into my life like a breeze from the arctic,
full of life and flavor and the sweet smell of beauty.
And so the tides will turn.
Out to sea with the distant feelings of loneliness.
Safe at home with the warm thoughts of togetherness.
With you in my heart and your voice in my head.
Now a new tear will form.
In the near corner of my eye.
One of a different color,
and a different shape.
Filled with joy and happiness,
and a love of a new kind.
And as the tear wells,
and falls from my eye.
I hear your voice and
know that it's safe.
Like turning water into wine,
or tears of sadness into joy.
You must be an angel.
This much I know.
You must be a gift,
one which I don't deserve.
You are all too kind,
and so very special.
I know in my heart that
You must be heaven sent.
